Venizeleio Conservatory of Chania Crete
Professor at the Conservatoire de Paris and student of the great Brigitte Engerer, will open the festival with a recital dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth. She will also offer free masterclasses to young pianists from Crete.

The first full performance of all string quartet works by the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, in his birthplace, Crete.

Venizeleio Conservatory of Chania Crete
Internationally recognized for his interpretations of François Couperin, he will present works by the French composer and speak about his artistry.

Venizeleio Conservatory of Chania Crete
Top French composer Karol Beffa, professor at the Collège de France, will improvise live to the film Sunrise (1927) by F.W. Murnau.

Simone Dinnerstein, piano – Dimitris Vakakis, lyra – Orchestre π, Dionysios Dervis-Bournias – Works by Glass, Beffa, Mozart.
Our festival’s orchestra, Orchestre π, is constituted of Academy St Martin in the Fields principals and young Greek musicians.
