When Mathematics Meets Music.
Festum π Returns to the Aegean.
Chania, Crete | 14–27 July 2025.
For the fourth consecutive year, the prestigious Université Paris-Saclay, the largest mathematics school in France, joins forces with the Conservatoire de Paris and 80 leading mathematicians and musicologists from France and Greece — this time on the island of Crete, in the beautiful city of Chania.
As part of Festum π, two international conferences will be held, with proceedings to be published by Springer, one of the world’s top academic publishers. Participation is completely free for selected Greek and French students.
Every evening, a classical music festival takes place, featuring not only concerts but also lectures by leading researchers in the field of Artificial Intelligence – all free and open to the public.
The event is held under the auspices of the French Embassy in Greece, the French Ministry of Research, and with the support of the Academy of Athens and the Region of Crete.
